Conversations With Emma
Mommy: Emma, (as Emma's pants are loose and sliding down) I think you lost a little weight while you were sick.
Emma:(stomps her foot and declares) I did not lose weight!
Mommy: Well, when you were sick and not eating much food, I think maybe you did lose a little bit of weight.
Emma: I did not lose weight! Five Years Old DO NOT lose weight! When I was sick I was growing!
Oh, to be indignant about losing a few pounds.
Emma: When I grow up I want to have six babies. I want to be a Mommy that wears sparkly earrings and clothes.
Mommy: Why do you want six babies?
Emma: Because that would be fun.
Mommy: Do you want boys or girls?
Emma: Well, I want six girls and three boys.
Mommy: That's nine babies.
Emma: Yeah, I want nine babies. My family would have nine babies and one Mommy and One Daddy. And then I would buy nine jars of baby food. And I would put them in nine cradles.
Mommy: What would you do if all those babies cried?
Emma: Well, there would have to be nine pacifiers.
Sounds like she's got it all planned out.
