The Disciplined Artist
To answer some questions reguarding our little artist. Immediately at the scene punishment for the crime came in the form of a chair. No, not the electric chair but the time-out chair. When Daddy came home he suggested she help Mommy clean it up. However, I think the clean-up was enjoyed by the guilty party rather than looked upon as a negative experience! She has since been informed that a repeat offense warrants not only a time-out chair for her but also a time-out for the crayons. Further investigation found that another, even younger, minor was an accomplice. Since the sentence was already served she got off with only the warning for a repeat offense. It appears as though our justice system isn't always perfect...
As far as tips on the removal of large sections of crayon marking...Goo Gone removed some of the color but left a smeared residue. The Mr. Clean Magic Clean Eraser worked really well I just needed to go over the area afterward with a damp cloth to remove any eraser residue.

Today's Art
My children can be very artistic. This is a sample of today's creative juices flowing. Unfortunately the juices didn't spill out on paper or canvass but all over a four foot by four foot section of my living room wall! Since the guilty party is still a minor she shall remain un-named to protect her reputation.

Our New Baby Girl
We brought home our new little baby girl Sunday. She has beautiful brown eyes, an adorable face with freckles and weighs 11 pounds at 8 weeks old! We decided to name her Lizzy. Emma and Rachel are pleased to have another playmate.
No she may not be a human baby but she does wake me up at night, is being potty trained, is teething, needs regular check-ups with her doctor, fed two to three times a day and LOTS of attention and love!

Emma playing with Lizzy and keeping her out of trouble. Lizzy is a little chewing machine. Many items have been relocated from the kitchen (which is now the "puppy room") to another area. Christmas Day Pictures
I finally sorted through the Christmas pictures and picked two that summed up our activities on Decmember 25th.
Blog Review 2006
A friend and fellow blogger (Ann-marie) posted on her blog a review of 2006 by listing the first sentence from each month. I found it interesting and decided to do the same myself. Since I haven't been blogging the entire year I threw in a few extras. Here they are...
