I admit we get a little crazy around here when it come to Christmas cookies.
This year we did something good with the results of our obsession.
Emma I and delivered MANY cookies to a local assisted living residents.
We had a really good time and she wants to go back to visit some of the residents regularly.
Our "Thankful Chain"
Every supper we had together between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we would each write something we were thankful for on a tiny slip of paper, then tape them together forming our "Thankful Chain".
The chain became an added decoration to our tree this year.
This ritual along with lighting Advent candles each evening has been a highlight for our children.

Christmas Eve and happy about their new Christmas jammies.

Christmas morning ready for church.
Enjoying some stocking stuffers.
So glad they can still be thrilled with something as simple as bubble gum!
Hope YOUR Christmas is merry and bright!

Pleased with her first pair of glasses.

My super model.

Seriously, this guy knew how to work the camera!

His session was done in just a few snaps.

Miss Cutey Patutey.

Finished with Mr. Ornery's pictures...

Working in Phototshop with this lovely face today.
Love my three little sillies!

Yes folks, today is OCTOBER 29...

these are pictures from today...

AND that IS a "snowchicken" sitting on our patio chair!
Someone had a birthday!

"A boy and his dog"?

More like "a girl and her chicken" at our house...

Yesterday family and friends gathered for a special surprise birthday party.

Greatpap (as Evan calls him) turned 100 last week!

He still lives independently in his own house.

He's got a sharp mind, keen eyes, can still entertain us with his musical talent,

and just recently bought himself a brand new red Ford Ranger Truck to celebrate his birthday.

According to Greatpap, he's working on the next 100.

According to us, we are privililaged to have him in our lives.

Just a few more pictures tonight.

Having a bit of trouble loading them to blogger.

More to follow.

Hopefully...

There's more than one way to cut a cake.

Okay, the week is almost over.

And, I promised some more wedding photos.

So, here are a few random shots.

More to follow when I can finish editing.

The special handkerchief,

prettily added to the bride's bouquet,

was carried by my mother,

myself, and my sisters on our wedding days.

The old Saint Stephens Church was beautifully decorated and waiting for the ceremony to begin.

The bride and her daughter arrive.

Bride and Groom.
(but I guess these didn't really need a caption)

A kiss, or two, or three, right after the ceremony.

Wedding Teaser

There was another wedding in the family...

More pictures to follow next week.

Stay tuned.

The little cutie came for an overnight visit.

Fun, fun, fun!

Rachel now thinks she needs a little sister for real.
