I believe we may have gone caterpillar crazy. Several days ago I took the girls caterpillar hunting. We found one Monarch caterpillar who is also our largest (we named her Mona) and 16 other unidentifiable caterpillars. As a result of two deaths and several stow-aways from leaves we collected for food today, we now have one egg that just hatched this evening who goes by the name Winkle Wink, Mona looking for a spot to make her chrysalis, and 16 other caterpillars (some of which are still unidentified). Hopefully these guys will all make their transformations before we leave on vacation. I will be examining leaves much more closely to make sure we aren't aquiring any more pets.
