Tummy Flu

When is the worst time to get the tummy flu?
1. When it's June and no one expects it?
2. When you are strapped in your car seat, your favorite stuffed animal is in your lap,
and still 35 minutes away from home?
3. When Daddy is out of town?
4. When Mommy needs to print, fold, and staple over 100 brochures due the next day?
5. When the washing machine is broke?
6. All of the above?

The answer of course is 6. All of the above. Which is what happened to Emma Saturday morning. Thankfully Pa's Grandma came to the rescue. She took take of the healthy kid, folded and stapled brochures till the wee hours of the morning and hauled some rather nasty laundry to her house for a good washing! While Mommy took care of the suffering child who had to vomit with any movement or sip of any liquid. At least some of the time she was able to get to the trash can before spewing all over our new carpet. Of course her little sister having to be right in on any action, would also run for the trash can and stick her head in it too! Rachel thinks she just can't be left out. Good news is, Pooh got a good bath. The car seat was completely dismantled and washed. The brochures were picked up the next morning. Daddy will be home in a few days. The three of us spent Sunday in our jammies and ALL took a nap! And Emma is feeling much better today!
