Sorry, no pictures with this post. I didn't even think to pack the camera. And if I did, we were packed in so tight the camera bag surely would have required the luggage carrier being located and strapped to the roof. We made use of every nook and cranny. It takes a lot of luggage and seat space for three children, two grandparents (plus Ken and I) even if it is just for two days! Ken made a fairly accurate comment when he said it take as much to pack for two days as it does for two weeks! Next time maybe we will just have to go for two weeks :-).
So where did we go on our mini vacation? We took Pa and Grandma to Lancaster to see a show at Sight and Sound. While there we also visited with my Aunt Dorcas and family (minus Sarah- sorry we missed seeing you). They prepared a wonderful meal for us (Steph, if your reading this I really would like the ratio and prep instructions for the tomato dish). Everything was quite delicious and it was nice to eat from my Grandma's China again. Emma and Rachel enjoyed the visit too. Brutus made a nice playmate. We also squeezed in a quick visit with some friends we hadn't seen in 5 years. The visit was far too short to make up for the last five years. The second night Mom and Dad babysat Evan at the hotel so we could take Emma and Rachel to the show too. We saw the same one Mom and did "In The Beginning". It was a really good show. The acting was good and the special effects were really great. Rachel sat on my lap for a better view. Several times her jaw dropped open and she would exclaim WOW! She asked over and over again which animals were real. Emma enjoyed most of the show too but asked to be taken out twice because the scenes were too scary. So she and Ken missed the part when Eve and Adam ate the forbidden fruit and the conflict between Cain and Abel.
We packed a lot of fun, along with all that luggage, into one weekend.
*I Mom did take her camera along so for so pics you can visit her blog in my list of blog links.
