What Have We Been Doing This Summer?

I have been too busy with life lately to blog about us. So here is a briefing on just a few of the things keeping us busy so far this summer...

Ken:

  1. Made a framework and shade for our patio.
  2. Built a birdhouse with the girls.
  3. Rewired my antique lamp.
  4. Installed a bat house for the bat we would like to relocate from our shed.
  5. Set up a garden patch and some homemade "Topsy Turvy" tomato plant hangers.
  6. Occupied our girls while I was away taking pictures and engrossed in photoshop.
  7. Is still working on the old backhoe.

Me:

  1. Did several photo shoots (including two weddings in one week).
  2. Photoshop, photoshop, photoshop.
  3. Chauffeured my daughters to various activities.
  4. Baked bread and misc. goodies for fundraisers.
  5. Berry picking and berry jam.
  6. Flower bed weeding and maintenance.
  7. Tried to keep up with our three little ones. The youngest of which is now very mobile!

Emma and Rachel:

  1. Bible school.
  2. Swim lessons.
  3. Berry picking.
  4. Building projects with Daddy.
  5. Trip with a friend to our local zoo.
  6. Swimming with friends at the state park.
  7. Lots of digging in dirt.

Evan:

  1. Has 4 teeth and is working on two more.
  2. Is transitioning from pureed food to table food. His current favorite is Cheerios.
  3. Likes to clap his hands.
  4. Acts shy and bashful around people. Especially those he doesn't know well.
  5. Says Dada, Mama, Kitty, Doggy, and Baba (bottle) but has an extensive list of one time words.
  6. Still wakes up once a night on a regular basis.
  7. Is crawling, crawling, crawling everywhere!

Ummm...jealous of those berries! ;) My baby still wakes up once in the night, too. At least if they get married they can hang out in the middle of the night. How does he feel about 3:00 a.m.?

Evan is not partial to any particular time. Maybe she could at least get him on a regular time.
