Christmas is but a blur...I didn't catch many memories with the camera so here are just a few.
Christmas Day was spent at our house. Pa and Grandma, Pap and Grandma, and Great- Grandpap all came and spent at least part of the day celebrating with us by opening presents and eating holiday food.
Opening presents isn't always easy...but usually rewarding!
Watching The Nutcracker on video and eating Pa-Grandma's popcorn balls.Other memories we made included:
- Got together at Pap's house with family for presents, play-time with cousins, and a good dinner the day after Christmas.
- Emma and Rachel made the traditional Christmas treat (potato candy) with Pa. It was a superb batch this year!
- Got together at Pa's house on the 30th for more presents and yummies. Grandma made it through the day. But ended up heading for the hospital with a case of pneumonia. Where she stayed until after the New year was ushered in.
- Emma and Rachel received manicures and pedicures from Aunt Debbie. Someone needs to train them in the princess ways!
- Hosted a book meeting with some of the Miller clan the evening of the 31st at our house. We discussed the book "Eye's at the Window" by Evie Miller Yoder.
- Also on the 31st (while Ken was recuperating from some long out of town work trips and the girls were tucked snugly in bed) I attended the "Bell Ringing" A Miller New Years Eve tradition including an hour of singing, ringing an old church bell at midnight, feasting on a midnight snack and visiting with immediate and extended family members.
